Message from the Principal
At Ceres Primary School we pride ourselves on focusing on the whole child.
We value individual differences and provide opportunities for each child to reach their potential by teaching to the point of need.
This is achieved through the provision of individual learning plans for every child in the school, negotiated student/teacher learning goals each Term, with reflection and evaluation occurring between students, teachers and parents.
Another key focus of the school is the high profile and important community/school partnership. This is continually fostered as this relationship is paramount to working together in a mutually respectful way in order to cater for the intellectual, emotional and social needs of each child.
Parents are encouraged to visit classrooms, participate in whole school activity days, speak to either the Principal or teachers to foster open communication for any matters and to assist in the classroom in a manner in which they feel comfortable .
Feedback is regularly sought on school Policies, School Procedures and learning opportunities so collaborative decision making can occur.
